Aside from the clothes, one must pay attention to the head in general.  The face in particular will have one of the most important features of a vampire or vampire-wannabe: the fangs.  These fangs certainly cannot be missed, but it may be difficult to find some suitably small yet vicious dentures for the youngest among us.  A toddlers vampire costume can probably do without the faux fangs, if the right set proves too difficult to acquire.  Plus, they can get uncomfortable after a while, and toddlers are not exactly known for putting up with discomfort. One’s hair for a vampiric night out should be appropriate.  For boys, slicked-back hair is the norm.  For girls, long flowing tresses and high, piled-up dos are great choices.  Remember though that as children, they will most likely be doing a lot of running around so don’t put too much effort into the hairdo.  For a youngsters vampire costume, perhaps it would be best to stick to the simplest of vampire hairstyles.  This is probably for the best, since it can be hard to get your child to stay still long enough for a complex hairdo.

Lastly, let us not forget the makeup.  Vampires are characteristically pale, something that one assumes results from lack of the blood that they supposedly crave for.  In order to achieve this effect, a fair bit of very pale foundation is needed, as well as some blue or grey highlights.  Again, makeup may be uncomfortable for your toddler or difficult to apply, so you can leave it out.  In the end, a toddlers vampire costume is made to be comfortable for the toddler, so he or she can freely enjoy their first Halloweens.  The good stuff will come later on, when they are older and are more appreciative of the nuances of costumery.
